I didn't know much about Simon Kinberg before I met him. All I knew was that he wrote MR. AND MRS. SMITH and other very high-profile studio pictures and was considered "a success story" of Columbia's MFA Film program. I knew he was active in Columbia Alumni Affairs and was well liked, but there were the requisite spurious rumors:

Get the VIP treatment, come have a Whiskey Sour, hear and create the buzz about CUE, your first official Columbia alumni entertainment organization.
*Try to picture a subterranean, swanky speak easy, cross it with the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, add a dash of old Hollywood….better yet, don’t even try picturing it, because even your SOA-enhanced imagination won’t do 86 justice! But come hang out in the stage lounge, pull up to one of 2 bars that look like they’ve been lit by one of the better gaffers in town, or wax exclusive relaxing in one of the private rooms, including the new Goldwyn Room. Even smokers will feel at home, as 86 provides interior smoking breezeway lounges (with one-way mirror...non-smokers will brave the smoke to see it).
